Swami Vivekananda once said,”Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life–think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”
It is a very tough thing to do but if you are serious about it you never know when things click. Har Prakash Rishi is a septuagenarian, but he till this day beats one record at a time, only to make a new one. Known for having broken numerous world records he is popular as Guinness Rishi.
Guinness Rishi, now 74 first tasted success in 1990 when he and two other pals rode a Kinetic Honda scooter non-stop for 1,001 hours in Pune. Once Rishi got the hang of it, he got on with making one record after another.
A former manager of an auto parts store, Rishi has made 22 other records like penning a longest and shortest will, the longest pizza delivery from New Delhi to San Francisco and the world’s oldest adoptive parent. He has also made a record for gulping a bottle of tomato ketchup in less than four minutes.
Rishi though hit national headlines when he managed to impress people by the maximum number of tattoos and removing all teeth to fit 496 straws and 50 burning candles in his mouth.
Interestingly he has nearly 366 permanent tattoos on his torso, cheeks, chin and head with 199 maps, 165 flags, 2,985 characters and portraits of legendary people like Mahatma Gandhi on left chest, Narendra Modi on right neck, Obama, Queen Elizabeth with her crown among others.
His next aim is to meet the US President for tea.
Rishi was born in 1942 in a cinema hall in New Delhi.
Even though Rishi is proud of his feats and wishes to continue his unique penchant for records, his better half is believed to have at different times asked him to give up for good.
Speaking to a media website, Guinness Rishi says ‘People call me a joker, a madman. It doesn’t bother me.’ We only wish that Rishi remains happy and healthy as he continues to beat himself in his own game.
