The great Woody Allen has been quoted as saying – “The heart wants what it wants. There’s no logic to these things. You meet someone and you fall in love and that’s that.” Perhaps this man did not meet the star he loves in person but he surely is helluva fan of Bollywood’s Badshah SRK.
The story is not fiction, it is the real tale of what extent a fan can go to, to show his love for an accomplished star. This man loves SRK to such an extent that he has everybit of his house plastered with pics and memorabilia of the actor. The man in question is not from some big city but the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
Vishal Singh now Visharukh Khan hit the headlines when SRK starrer Fan released. News of his story was everywhere. In Lucknow this Jabra fan maintained that he was the greatest SRK fan of all time.
Like Fan’s Gaurav, this Lucknow based businessman is obsessed with the actor. Every birthday of Shahrukh Khan this man religiously cuts a cake in ode to the star and wishes for his health and happiness.
The 42 year old has more than 22,000 pictures of Khan; every inch of his house is covered with the star’s film posters.
Singh’s house is a shrine dedicated to Khan and is called Shah Rukh Khan palace!
Guess what there are SRK cutouts on the ceiling, television, cushions, phone and even in his car.
Vishal runs a wholesale homeopathic medicine business and his shop too showcases some rare pics of the star fanning the much talked about Khan madness.
Even his children have not been spared. His daughter is named Simran and his little son is called Aryan.
Vishal drove more than 1,300 km with his wife to Mumbai on their honeymoon. He spent his honeymoon standing outside Mannat, just to get a glimpse of the actor.
Supposedly Khan has promised Vishal one day he will visit his house in Lucknow.
“My only prayer to God is that Shah Rukh should always remain the King Khan of Bollywood and his films should keep breaking box office records,” says Vishahrukh, arguably SRK’s biggest fan ever to a website.
At one time the organised group of SRK fans in and around Lucknow used to boast of just about 100 to 150 members.
Over years, under Vishahrukh’s stewardship, the group has grown almost six fold.
The caller tune of his phone (expectedly a SRK song) goes: “Tujhe dekha to ye jaana sanam, pyaar hota hai deewana sanam…”
While this man’s love for SRK has caught the fancy of many a person, some Lucknow’s Nawabs would definitely like to click selfies with this Jabra Fan.
